Ureteral stones are kidney stones per se that get stuck inside one or both of the ureters that are the tubes which carry urine from our kidneys to our bladder.
If the stone is large enough, it may even block the flow of urine that goes from the kidney to the bladder. This blockage can hence cause immense and unbearable pain. Kidney stones are primarily formed from excess concentration of salts and minerals in the urine. These minerals then form crystals that eventually grow into stones. It is pertinent to note that most kidney stones are calcium based.
Many kidney stones are also really tiny and minuscule in size. Some are even too small to be visible to the naked eye, and with time, these pass through the urine, and do not cause any trouble as such. Larger stones that however get stuck in the urinary tract can cause severe pain, and a doctor intervention is therefore crucial as surgery may be required for the same.
Our expert doctors at Sai Siddhi provide safe surgical removal for all such kidney and ureteral stones.
