What is a Hernia?

A hernia occurs whenever an organ pushes through an opening inside the muscle or tissue that is holding it in place. For example our intestines may break through a weakened area inside the abdominal wall.

Most hernias usually occur in the abdomen that is between our chest and hips but they may also appear around the upper thigh and the groin areas.

An uncommon exit of tissue or organ causing an opening through the tissue wall is particularly called Hernia. There are many types of hernia but the main ones being :-

Inguinal Hernia also known as groin hernia, occurs when a part of the body, small or large intestine may find a weak spot and force itself out in the abs muscle causing pain when excreting, lifting heavy weights and coughing or urinating.
