Also within the anus there are a number of small glands that make mucus. Occasionally, these glands might get clogged and can become infected and this therefore leads to formation of an abscess If this problem is not timely constrained then the abscess grows larger eventually forcing the liquid through a hole it creates around the anus. This is called Anal Fistula - a small passage used for the removal of the liquid.
