What are Anal Piles?

Piles, also referred to as haemorrhoids are painful lumps inside and around an individuals bottom that is around the anus.

Hemorrhoids are clumps of dilated and enlarged blood vessels inside the anus and lower rectum. The rectum is the last area of our large intestine before it exits into the anus. The anus is the end of the digestive tract per se wherefrom the feces exit our body.

Sometimes hemorrhoids swell up when the veins enlarge and their walls become thin, stretched, and irritated by way of passing stool. Hemorrhoids are usually bifurcated into the following two categories:

• 1. Internal that is originating in the rectum, and
• 2. External that is originating in the anus.

Symptoms

• Bleeding after the motion
• Pain or irritation while sitting
• Swelling in or around the anus area
• Problem while passing of a stool
• Lump around the Anus region

Causes:-

• Enhanced pressure near the lower rectum
• Continuous constipation
• Unnecessary pressuring while taking a poop
• Pregnancy

Hemorrhoids are also termed as piles and these cause immense pain and irritation. The word has originated from the Greek word - “haimorrhoides" that means that the veins are liable to discharge blood. Also in case you have had a bout of hemorrhoid pain, you're not alone because it is estimated that three out of every four people might have had hemorrhoids at some point in their lives.
